Back-end Developer
At Poet Farmer we care about the end-user and the goals of our clients. You won’t just push features, or make things for the sake of it. We do things differently, we always do things with a purpose.
Skillset, at an ambition level
- 3-5 years of relevant working experience
- Experience with the latest development trends, and continues to be eager to learn.
- Skilful in PHP, MySQL or any other Query languages.
- Able to build web applications from scratch using languages listed above and with any other tools, for e.g. NodeJs, Python etc.
- Develop web application with Laravel and WordPress.
- Works with REST API development and integration.
- Intermediate understand in Dev-ops, and using services like Docker, Kubernetes and Google Cloud Platform
- Familiar in setting up servers, e.g. Linux running on VPS, Lamp stack on linux.
- Able to work with Git with CI/CD.
- Able think critically, anticipate any issues with the applications/system while working on projects.
- Able to design database structure
- Able to work independently and in team setting environment.
- You are comfortable to express your vision, and communicate in English
Personal traits
We trust you write the cleanest, best commented and well working code, but there should be more in your work life than your field of expertise, how about these?
- Writing skills, for documenting your work.
- Front-end development, for when the front-end guys are stuck.
- DevOps and cloud deployment, because your code is only as good as the server it runs on.
We’re looking for someone who is smart and gets things done, with additional skills that broaden the team in unexpected ways.
